Local Weather

All our locations are in Fairfield County; we recommend using Lancaster, Ohio, as the area to use when checking local weather conditions.

As it is commonly said in Ohio, “If you don’t like the weather here, just wait a few minutes, and it will change.” Don’t give up! The parks are beautiful in all kinds of weather.

When planning an outing – especially if you will be spending a day at the parks – it is a good idea to plan for the unexpected. Bring an extra layer of clothing, rain gear, maybe even an extra pair of shoes on wet days. Many of our locations do not have restrooms with running water so bringing hand wipes, hand sanitizer or a wet washrag in a zippered plastic bag, and paper towels is recommended.
