7th Annual Winter Hike
Smeck Park
7395 Basil Rd
Baltimore, OH 43105
If you haven’t yet, make this hike your annual tradition with friends and family, including the four-legged ones. Don’t hibernate, get outside! Walk the Paw Paw and Walnut Creek trails plus the new trail extension, then warm up with roasted potatoes and hot refreshments.
Trail conditions will vary based on weather; be prepared with appropriate footwear to hike in muddy, snowy, or icy and slippery conditions. The hike is about two miles long; most hikers will finish in less than an hour. The trails are always open during daylight hours but those who wish to enjoy hot drinks and roasted potatoes with toppings should start the trail between 10:00 a.m. and noon. Food will be served from 10:30 until 12:30 p.m.
Where to Meet
Begin the hike at the Paw Paw Trail trailhead near the open picnic shelter toward the back of the park.
