Did you know that all deciduous trees start as a flower? A deciduous tree is one that loses its leaves in winter. In springtime, they will begin budding and flowering. Observe this amazing phenomenon during a guided hike on the Walnut and Paw Paw trails.

REMINDERS
What to Bring
Bring your own drinking water. Potable water is not available at this location. If you plan to spend time at the park before or after the program, depending on weather conditions and the time of year, you may want to bring sunscreen and/or insect repellent.
Pets
Pets are not allowed inside Cruit House or other buildings. They are welcome outside and on the trails at Smeck Park. Pets must be under control at all times and on a leash no longer than 6’. For the health and safety of all, pick up and properly dispose of pets’ waste.

If severe weather is forecast or before traveling a long distance to attend, it is recommended you check to be sure the program has not been canceled, postponed, or rescheduled.
