To celebrate the Ohio Canal Era Bicentennial (1825-2025), our interpretive historian will be on site to chat about his favorite subject – the Ohio Canal.  Bring your questions about life on and around the canal in the mid- to late-1800s.  What trade skills were needed?  What businesses came about because of the new water highway?  What did they eat?  Where did children go to school?

There are NO RESTROOMS at this location.

What to Bring
Bring your own drinking water. Potable water is not available at this location. Depending on weather conditions and the time of year, you may want to bring sunscreen and/or insect repellent.

Pets
Pets are welcome in Lockville Canal Park.  They must be under control at all times and on a leash no longer than 6’. For the health and safety of all, pick up and properly dispose of pets’ waste.
