This is the second of three annual winter hikes in our park district. If you haven’t yet, make these hikes your annual winter tradition with friends and family, including the four-legged ones. Don’t hibernate, get outside!
Trail conditions will vary based on weather; be prepared with appropriate footwear to hike in muddy, snowy, or icy and slippery conditions. The hike is under one mile long but offers a moderate challenge and gorgeous views; most hikers will finish in less than an hour. Those who wish to enjoy hot drinks and refreshments should start the trail between 10:00 a.m. and noon. Refreshments will be served from 10:30 until 12:30 p.m.
Where to Meet
Begin the hike at the WPA Pedestrian Bridge just beyond he open picnic shelter.

REMINDERS
What to Bring
Potable water is not available at this location. Bring your own drinking water. If you plan to spend time at the park before or after the program, depending on weather conditions and the time of year, you may want to bring sunscreen and/or insect repellent.
Pets
Well-mannered pets may join us during this program. Pets are welcome at Cross Mound Park. They must be under control at all times and on a leash no longer than 6’. For the health and safety of all, pick up and properly dispose of pets’ waste.
