Early Birds, Spring Migration

During Spring, Ohio experiences something beautiful – the arrival of many bird species not normally seen in our area!  After spending the winter in the south, many will be stopping in our parks on their northward migration.  On this hike we hope to see some of these amazing birds!  Well-known naturalist Jim Osborn will help with identification.

There will be a few binoculars to share but, if possible, bring your own binoculars.

Where to Meet
This hike is best suited to those ages 13 and older.  Meet in the picnic shelter.  Do not bring pets to this program (see more about pets, below).

What to Bring
Bring your own drinking water.  Potable water is not available at this location.  Keep in mind there are no toilets at this location.

Pets
Pets are welcome at Cross Mound Park. They must be under control at all times and on a leash no longer than 6’. For the health and safety of all, pick up and properly dispose of pets’ waste.
