Hot Summer Hike

Not everyone is flexible enough for “hot yoga” so why not try a hot summer hike?  Join our Education Specialist for a two-mile walk.  There will be frequent stops for nature observation.

Reservation are not needed.  Free, family-friendly event.  Bring friends and the whole family, including the four-legged ones!

Where to Meet
Porch of Cruit House, the log-framed house.  Keep in mind pets are not allowed inside the building but are most welcome to join us for this hike!  See more about pets below.

REMINDERS

What to Bring
Bring your own drinking water. Potable water is not available at this location. Insect repellent is highly recommended.  Wear shoes and clothing appropriate to weather conditions.

Pets
Pets are not allowed inside the buildings.  Well-mannered pets are welcome outside and on the trails at Smeck Park. Pets must be under control at all times and on a leash no longer than 6’. For the health and safety of all, pick up and properly dispose of pets’ waste.

Adverse Weather Conditions
If severe weather is forecast or before traveling a long distance to attend, it is recommended you check to be sure the program has not been canceled, postponed, or rescheduled.  It is best to check the program in the Events section of our Facebook page, our website’s Calendar of Events, or call 740 652-4422 or 614 321-4833 ext 103.
