Leave No Trace 101

Smeck Park
7395 Basil Rd
Baltimore, OH  43105

Take only pictures; leave only footprints.

Have you ever thrown an apple core out the window of your car?  It is natural and will decompose, right?  But… should we do that?  Learn the answer to those questions and more at this introduction to Leave No Trace that explains how to properly care for public spaces.

Then, venture out to the trails for a two-mile hike with our Education Specialist.  Wear comfortable hiking shoes because the trails are uneven and there is a long set of stairs.

Free, family-friendly event.  Reservation are not needed.

Where to Meet
Cruit House, the log-framed house.  Keep in mind pets are not allowed inside the buildings.  Even though pets are allowed in Smeck Park (see more about pets, below) we ask that you do not bring pets to this particular program.
