Come anytime between 4-6 pm to pick your own popcorn!  Pick colorful maize to make fall decorations or save it to plant at your own home next year.  You are welcome to cut and take the corn stalks to make shocks, corn husk dolls or wreaths, and other crafts and decorations.  A staff member and/or volunteers will be on site to help you get started.

Where to Meet
Go to the cornfields to the southwest of Cruit House (when facing Cruit House, the log-framed house, look to the left).

REMINDERS

What to Bring
Potable water is not available at this location.  Bring your own drinking water.  If you plan to spend time at the park before or after the program, depending on weather conditions and the time of year, you may want to bring sunscreen and/or insect repellent.  Walnut Creek Trail and Paw Paw Trail combine to make a two-mile loop.  Trail conditions will vary based on weather; be prepared with appropriate footwear to hike in muddy or slippery conditions.

Pets
Well-mannered pets may join us during this program.  Pets are welcome at Smeck Park. They must be under control at all times and on a leash no longer than 6’. For the health and safety of all, pick up and properly dispose of pets’ waste.
