What Has Changed?
Because of the pandemic, things must be done a little differently this year. To provide in-person programs, we are required to adhere to COVID safety guidelines that were approved by Fairfield County Health Department. These guidelines state that we must limit the number of participants and that everyone – staff, volunteers, and participants – must practice social distancing. A mask covering both mouth and nose must be worn while participating in any in-person program. If you cannot or will not wear a mask, please enjoy one of our programs at a time when there is no public emergency alert in Fairfield County.
Reservations are Required – Print Your Ticket
To allow as many as possible to participate yet prevent congestion on the trails, hike start times will be staggered. Ten people will start every 10 minutes. It is important that you begin the hike within 5 minutes of your scheduled start time. Food and drinks are served at the end of the hike. Review all details and use links below to make your reservation now!
If you are unable to attend, please cancel your reservation so that your ticket may be offered to another hiker. Reservations can be canceled via Eventbrite (if you have an Eventbrite account) or call Marcey Shafer at 740-243-4436.
Baked Potatoes, Hot Chocolate, and A PRIZE
Print and bring your ticket! It is needed to get the grab-and-go baked potato and hot beverage after the hike. Normally, seating is provided for you to enjoy your post-hike potato and hot beverage. This year, food service will be grab-and-go. You may take your treats and spread out in the park or take them with you. We cannot provide seating.
The Great Prize! TheFitLife Nordic Walking Trekking Poles
Your ticket will be entered to win a set of TheFitLife Nordic Walking Trekking Poles! Only those who bring their printed ticket will be entered to win, so do not forget it! The drawing will be held Monday, January 11, and the winner will be notified by email.
