Do you know Ohio’s State Native Fruit? That’s right; it is the paw paw. We will set out in search of fabulous paw paws and, yes, taste what we find. We may even go off trail, so be ready to hike up to 2.5 miles! There will be frequent stops for nature interpretation along the way.

What to Bring
Bring your own drinking water. Potable water is not available at this location. Depending on the season, you may wish to bring insect repellent and sunscreen or sunhat. Read more about Smeck Park.
Pets
Pets may not enter buildings but are welcome outside and on the trails at Smeck Park. They must be under control at all times and on a leash no longer than 6’. For the health and safety of all, pick up and properly dispose of pets’ waste. | We may ask that you do not bring pets to a particular program or event. That is determined by the nature of the activity, presentation, or hike, and/or safety issues.
