As the air cools and days get shorter, the forests put on a spectacular display of colors. Learn the secret behind this annual event and its importance to the woodland ecology. Other interesting topics of natural history will also be explored along the way.
Meet at least five minutes before the start time in the nature center.

Suggested Audience
This program is for ages 12+. The trails are rugged and not suitable for strollers and wagons.
What to Bring
Bring your own drinking water. You may wish to consider using an insect repellent.
NO PETS
Pets are never allowed in any nature preserve.

3:00-5:00 p.m., meet at least five minutes before start time in front of Cruit House

Smeck Park is at 7395 Basil Rd, south of OH-256, in Baltimore.

Sunday, October 19
1:00-2:30 p.m., meet at least five minutes before start time in the nature center
