8th Annual
Smeck Winter Hike

Smeck Park
7395 Basil Rd (south of 256)

Baltimore, OH  43105

This is the first of three annual winter hikes in our park district.  If you haven’t yet, make this an annual tradition with friends and family, including the four-legged ones.  Don’t hibernate, get outside!  Walk the Walnut Creek and Goldenrod trails, then warm up with roasted potatoes and hot refreshments.

Trail conditions will vary based on weather; be prepared with appropriate footwear to hike in muddy, snowy, or icy and slippery conditions.  The hike is about three miles long and offers a variety of terrain; most hikers will finish in less than an hour.  Those who wish to enjoy hot drinks and refreshments should start the trail between 10:00 a.m. and noon.  Refreshments will be served from 10:30 until 12:30 p.m.

Where to Meet
Begin the hike in the open picnic shelter, beyond the log-framed house and barn.
