Education
As part of our mission we provide many educational opportunities around the county on both nature and local history. Some of these are facilities you can visit, such as Rock Mill, the Mambourg Nature Center, and Wahkeena, some are programs open to the public, and other are programs for schools or community groups on request.

Public Programs & Events
Staff hosts a variety of public programs & events each month! We have something for almost everyone and hope you’ll check out our calendar to find one near you soon.
School & Community Programs
Have a group or classroom that needs a program just for them? Check out our School & Community Programs page! We have options available for everything from a historical food program in an elementary school classroom, to an animal program for a senior center or 4H group.
Photography Contest
The inaugural Fairfield County Park District photography contest is now open! Find that perfect shot and submit it anytime before 2027 for a chance to win! The 1st place and People’s Choice Award photos will be displayed on our website, social media, at the Mambourg Park Nature Center, and at our 2027 Fairfield County Fair Booth.
